It is time for the annual warm clothing drive in our county. Actually, since the drive is sponsored by the state department of tourism, it is probably state-wide. Wisconsin can get cold, yo.
Yarn: Fingerlakes Woolen Mill 2-Ply Soft Wool (worsted)
Needles: US#6 (hat) and #5 (mittens)
Pattern: Clamber by Laura Wilson-Martos (hat), and What pattern? Sheesh, I don’ need no steenkin’ pattern! (mittens)
Yarn: Plymouth Yarn DK Merino Superwash, color 1131
Pattern: Windschief by Stephen West. Pattern is written for worsted; I used DK to make a smaller, child’s version. I made worsted weight set for the clothing drive, too, but apparently forgot to take a photo.
Yarn: O-Wool Balance Bulky (50/50 merino/cotton), color Igneous.
Needles: US#10.5 (hat) and #11 (scarf)
Pattern: What pattern? Sheesh, I don’ need no steenkin’ pattern!
I made mittens to go with the the hat and scarf because I still had enough yarn for them, but What pattern? Sheesh, I don’ need no steenkin’ pattern! caught up with me. Can you see how the mitten on the right is about an inch longer than the other? I cannot find my copy of The Knitter’s Handy Book of Patterns by Ann Budd, so I had to wing it on the mittens. (Is it significant that the book in not in my Ravelry library? Have I been the victim of hacking, both analog and digital?)
A birthday present for a friend.
Yarn: Knit Picks Felici, color Eclipse.
Pattern: What pattern? Sheesh, I don’ need no steenkin’ pattern! 44 stitches.
